Holly Marie Bolf, 9, Greenwood, Clark County, died Tuesday, June 4, 1996, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 8, 1996, at Holy Family Catholic Church, Willard. Father Joseph Follmar officiated. Burial was in Holy Family Catholic Cemetery.

Holly Marie Bolf was born on Sept. 30, 1986, in Neillsville, to James A. and Cynthia L. (nee Horvat) Bolf. She lived on her family s farm in Greenwood. She attended school in Greenwood. She enjoyed roller skating, rollerblading, writing, drawing pictures and running and playing with all the kids. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.

Survivors include her parents of Greenwood two sisters, Michelle Bolf and Jamie Bolf, both at home two brothers, Jeremy and Craig, both at home and her grandparents, LaVonne Horvat, Willard and Don and Dorothy Horn, Greenwood.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Rudy Horvat and her paternal grandfather, Tony Bolf.
Rinka Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.

Ervin Geisler, 59, of 308 S. Eaton, Greenwood, Clark County, died at 12:15 p.m., Thursday, July 10, 1980 at St. Joseph's Hospital.
A Prayer Service was conducted at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, July 12 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Greenwood. Rev. Michael Mertens officiated and burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery.
Ervin Geisler was born to Adolph and Kathryn (nee Kuehn) Geisler on May 30, 1921, in the Town of Warner. He attended the Braun Settlement School for eight years.
He was married to Dorothy Soeller on Sept. 16, 1947 at St. Bernard's in Thorp.
He worked for Clark Electric for several years. In 1955, he started the home for the aged.
Surviving him are his wife, Dorothy, one son, Arden of Wis. Rapids his mother, Mrs. Kathryn Geisler of Neillsville Home one brothers, Norman of Owen and two granddaughters.
Serving as pallbearers were Cleo Mains, Frank Bayuk, Eugene Carteron, Harry Meinhardt, Robert Schneider and Duane Romens. Rinka Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

GREENWOOD, CLARK COUNTY--Funeral services for Mrs. George Gemmeke, 64, who died June 5, 1954 were held Thursday at Grace Methodist Church. The Rev. Arthur Riley officiated and burial took place in the Greenwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Gemmeke, formerly Velma Bostwick, was born May 4, 1890, in the Town of Eaton, Clark county. On March 8, 1911, she was married to George Gemmeke by the Rev. Mr. Hendren in Greenwood. The Gemmeke farm is 6 miles south of Greenwood on County Trunk O.

Mrs. Gemmeke is survived by her husband, a daughter, Mrs. Emory (Iola) Starks, Thorp a son, Kenneth Gemmeke, F. Bragg, N.C. a sister, Agnes, Portland, Ore. two brothers, Lyle Bostwick, Princeton, Ind. Jason Bostwick, address unknown, and five grandchildren, One brother, Charles, died April 28, 1954.

GEORGE GEMMEKE IS DEAD AT AGE OF 82

Greenwood Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday in Grace Methodist Church for George Gemmeke, 82, Greenwood, Clark County, who died Friday, June 5, 1959 in Victory Memorial Hospital in Stanley, where he had been a patient two days following a stroke. The Rev. Ethel Nulton officiated and burial was made in Greenwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Fred Clintsman, Harry Stafford, Harold Dillenbeck, Clark Hatton, Orville Dimler and Mike Podobnik Sr.
Ivory Palaces and Sweet Bye and Bye were sung by JoAnne Peterson and Mary Syth, Mrs. William Olson was the pianist.
Mr. Gemmeke was born Oct. 20, 1876 at Davenport, Ind., the son of George and Elise (Toelle) Davenport. At the age of one he came to Clark County with his parent to a farm 6 miles south of Greenwood.

He married the former Velma Bostwick at Greenwood March 8, 1911. She preceded him in death June 6, 1954. He had been in poor health for a year and since December had resided at Thorp with his daughter.

He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Emory (Iola) Starks, Thorp by one son, Kenneth Gemmeke, Chicago, Ill., five grandchildren two sisters, Mrs. Carrie Christenson, Moscow, Idaho, and Mrs. Minnie Smyth, Spokane, Wash. and three brothers, Henry, Mexico, Mo. Paul, Spokane, Wash, and Alfred, Angle Inlet, Minn.

Kenneth Gemmeke, 55, son of the late George and Velma (Bostwick) Gemmeke, was born March 18, 1929, in the Town of Eaton, Clark County, and died Feb. 23, 1984, in the hospital section of the Oak Forest Hospital and Nursing Home at Oak Forest, Ill., where he resided for the last years. He had been in ill health for the past several years.

Services were held at the Cooney's Funeral Home, Chicago, on Feb. 27, 1984, at 11 a.m. Rev. McCauley of the Addison Street Congregational Church officiated and burial was in the Irving Park Cemetery, Chicago, Ill.

Surviving is one sister, Mrs. Emory (Iola) Starks of Route 4, Thorp four nieces and one nephews seven great-nieces six great-nephews and one great-great niece and nephew.

He served in the Armed Forces from Sept. 1952 to Oct. 1954.

He had resided in Chicago since 1955.
