Note: Dear Friends
This is a letter I knew I'd have to write some day, but thought it would be much later.
Neta passed away at 6:00 AM on Monday the 11th of May, 2009. She was at Valley Vista Care Center and went very peaceful in her sleep.
We found out the last of January she had Pancreatic Cancer. She was doing just fine, not complaining of stomach ach or anything really, still thinking she was taking trips oall over the world and never knew where she would end up. But on Wednesday morning she told my daughter Lori, she didn't feel good, Lori called me and I called my sisters and they called their children, the next thing you know we are all here and spent all weekend with her, Sunday night we left her sleeping like a baby and she was gone on Monday, what a way to go!!
Had her services on Friday at 11:00 AM at Colfelt's here in Sandpoint. I spoke and told a few stories, thene Gene, and the surprise of the day came when my sister Mickey got up and spoke, she was wonderful, had us all laughing and when she was done everygody clapped, Mom sure would have enjoyed that. After that we all went to the VFW hall and had a nice meal, put on by Patti's friends.
Well, than you for being Mom's friend and always thinking of her, She was truly a Good Old Girl and a Wonderful Mother.
Thank you
Ernie
